Jamie Brown is the owner of Prep for Wealth. She is a certified financial coach from Dayton, OH. She also works full-time in the healthcare industry in Administrative Support. Like many adults, she realized she didn’t really know how to manage her money. Her parents taught her how to save some money and to be frugal. Unfortunately, money management takes more skills. Jamie had student loans, credit card debt, a car note, medical debt, and was close to over drafting. Once she decided to pay better attention to her finances, she got focused. She researched and found the best way to budget. Jamie paid off $30,000 of debt in a little over 3 years while only making that much or less annually. This took patience and delayed gratification. It also took creative ways to maximize and create more income. She mentioned the financial journey she was on to some family and friends. They were impressed by her progress and began asking for advice. With Jamie’s help some were able to save more money, pay off debt, and begin setting relationship boundaries to protect their financial health. She was happy she could help them and realized she wanted to help more people. Wealth can be monetary and non-monetary. Wealth is simply having an abundance. Wealth looks different for everyone and is based on their desires for their future. Jamie decided to name the company Prep for Wealth because she wants to prepare people for THEIR wealth life by becoming financially stable through transparent, honest, and motivating financial coaching.
